The Bharatiya Janata Party gave tickets to 8 Muslim candidates in Assam. Of these, 5 candidates are currently trailing. BJP candidates are trailing from Baghbar, Jaleshwar, Janiya, Rupohihat, and Salmar South. At the same time, BJP candidates are leading in Bilasipara West, Laharighat, and Sonai. BJP Dr. Abu Bakar Siddiq is leading from Bilasipara West. Apart from them, Qadiruzman Jinnah from the Laharighat seat and sitting MLA Aminul Haq Laskar are leading from the Sonai seat.

According to the present report, the BJP coalition government in Assam is seen returning to power with an absolute majority, while the Congress coalition government is once again shrinking with its old figure.
